Prehistoric woolly mammoth materials are found in Alaska, Canada, Russia, and Siberia. Fossil tusk and tooth materials may range in age from 10,000 to 200,000 years. Mammoth ivory cross cut materials show the unique Schreger lines or cross hatching pattern specific to these ancient materials.
