If you prefer your knife in anything but basic, this black DLC just might be your perfect EDC. To create this matte-black look, metal is ionized and deposited on both blade and handle as a microns-thin coating. This process results in a coating known as DLC, or Diamond-Like Carbon, which is hard and scratch resistant. This handsome Leek is all stainless steel with a sturdy frame lock. It opens one-handed with SpeedSafe assisted opening.
- Everything the classic Leek has, plus a DLC coating of matte black; Made in the USA
- Sandvik 4C28N high-performance stainless steel blade holds its edge, resharpens easily; partially serrated blade easily cuts through rope and other fibrous material
- Fossil walrus ivory single sided handle
- SpeedSafe® assisted opening with convenient flipper; Tip-Lock secures blade when closed
Fossil walrus ivory is found by chance by subsistence hunters and gatherers on St Lawrence Island, Alaska. These fossils range in age from several hundred to several thousand years and may vary in color from light cream, tan, and very rarely orange, chocolate brown, blue and green.
