Prehistoric woolly mammoth ivory double flare ear gauges (plugs) are now available in limited sizes and quantities! Each pair is a one of a kind due to the unique and natural patterns and colors of these fossil materials. Note that we measure our gauges on the top of the flare so please measure an existing pair of gauges on top of the flare for accurate sizing.
Woolly mammoth ivory is found in Alaska, Canada, Russia, and Siberia, and may range in age from 10,000 to 200,000 years. Colors and Schreger lines (cross hatching patterns) are natural and vary from piece to piece.
Mammoth ivory is sensitive to extreme temperatures, and needs to avoid water and liquids. Take your prehistoric woolly mammoth ivory gauges out for showering and swimming for instance. Mammoth ivory can be wiped off with clear and unscented mineral oil but it cannot be sterilized.
*Due to strict hygiene requirements, there are absolutely no returns or exchanges on mammoth ivory ear gauges. Gauge mm sizes are measured on top of the flare.
