Each prehistoric woolly mammoth ivory tile is hand scrimshawed by master scrimshander, Peter Kinney, in the Pacific Northwest. Designs are sold individually and choices are currently: 3 Narwhal, 2 Orca, Flying Eagle.

Peter Kinney's scrimshaw is found in some of the most discriminating collections in the world. He is known for his fine detail work and nostalgic views of ships and marine mammals.
Prehistoric woolly mammoth ivory ranges anywhere from 10,000 to 200,000 years old, and is found in Arctic regions such as Alaska, Canada, Chukotka (or the Chuckchi Peninsula), Yakutia, Magadan and Siberia where the tusks have been preserved in the permafrost.
